The Director manages HCV franchise market research/ analytic activities and is responsible for consolidation relevant insights to inform business decision making by franchise leaders. The Director is held accountable for the results of the group as well as work performance of his/her line staff. Director is responsible for training and development of the group and setting standards for work product quality.
The Director will optimize interdisciplinary understanding and synergy within the functions and integrate activities with those of other departments and teams to help shape cohesive business plans and strategies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Identifies, develops and provides guidance on creation of market research and analytics plans to ensure timeliness and relevance of insights to business questions at hand
· Responsible for the market research and analytical approaches utilized, ensures quality of output and recommendations
· Oversee drafting of senior management presentation
· Provides staff with insightful guidance to succeed and grow
· Ensures individual goal setting is effectively linked to corporate and department goals
· Develops and maintains productive relationships with senior cross-functional stakeholders and outside vendors
· Play a key role in strategic and tactical planning
· Provide management and leadership to HCV franchise market research staff
· Constructs draft budgets and oversees the execution of approved budgets and hiring for the department
· Perform other duties as assigned
TECHNICAL AND COMMUNICATION SKILLS
· Proven ability to effectively articulate department perspective on market research and analytic approaches to addressing business questions to internal and external stakeholders
· Proven ability to coach others on a wide variety of market research techniques; understanding pitfalls of methodological approaches in relationship to business situation
· Experience conducting market research across a variety of disease states, products in varied stages in development
· Exhibits robust understanding of industry standards and practices, including future direction of the field
· A more experienced mentor who effectively infuses confidence, ensures team motivation and commitment
Minimum Requirements
MBA, Masters, or relevant advanced degree and 8+ years of relevant work experience. Must have strong leadership skills including prior people management experience.
